Worn for many games during 1988/89 and half of season 1989/90. This shirt would have been worn by Simon Morgan, Peter Weir, Jimmy Quinn and Marc North. This design scoreline shirt was worn for one and a half seasons, with the latter part of season two it being changed to have the scorleine badge on the chest. The Leicester logo also moved to the left breast on the newer version. This shirt I managed to get from the auction when the main stand was demolished. The shirts were listed as training shirts, but these were clearly player shirts and certain pictures in the programmes confirm this.
Marc North unfortunately died shortly after leaving Leicester City. He did work at Batchelor Bowles selling cars for a few years, but then unfortunately he became ill and passed away. He was a solid player, who would play in many positions and had some pretty bad injuries. He was a good squad player and a real asset. This shirt would also have been worn by Jimmy Quin, who unfortunately did not manage to settle in the team, despite being a prolific goalscorer elsewhere. Simon Morgan also wore this shirt, who was the Leicester player who looked like he wore shoulder pads.
